"Stay On The Left and Watch The Curb!!"

WE MADE IT!!!
Since 8am Scotland time and 3am in Pittsburgh, we have started our journey in Scotland by experiencing many different things, such as dining, towns, and driving. It is now 8:30pm here and we are all exhausted and getting ready for bed. But before we got to this point.... a lot of things happened.

Our first flight was at 2:21pm from Pittsburgh to Newark and our second flight was 8:00pm from Newark to Edinburgh. The first flight was interesting. Although not for others, it was the smallest plane I have ever been on. This caused for a bumpy, not so nice flight. Luckily it was only an hour and forty five minutes. It was my friend Deanna's first time on a plane, ever, and she did very well for being how rough it was. The second flight was much better. It was the biggest plane I've ever been on and I thoroughly enjoyed having my own t.v. screen and being able to chose whatever I wanted to watch. They even had full cd albums that you could listen to. I enjoyed the classical section, hoping to get it to put me to sleep. That failed. I got a total of 35 minutes of sleep. Sooo... I am pretty tired now.

When we arrived at the Edinburgh airport, we got a ride to our van. Seating up to 14 people, it is very spacious and carried our luggage perfectly from the airport to the place we are staying. - Which I originally wasn't sure would be able to happen. Steve, our professor, learned how to drive on the left hand side and also use a stick shift.... on the left hand side as well. That was surely an experience and was helpful to us staying awake on the bus. We are constantly helping him to remind him to always stay on the left and watch the curb!!!! haha.

We got to visit our college that we will be working at today, and it was a pleasant surprise. Their art gallery that we will be working in is very spacious, clean, and different from what we are normally used to. There was art set up still from students attending the college and it was nice to be able to look at their art and respect what they've done. We also did our first day of food shopping today, which in itself was another experience.

Tonight we had spaghetti - made by Deanna and myself. =] Mmmm.

Well, I am exhausted and need to get some rest. I will write more details tomorrow and as for posting pics. . . it takes a long time to upload on off their wifi... so plan to see them in 3 weeks. I'm sorry!!

Thanks for following! Miss you all!!

Good day!
Natalie
